The Vibrant Western Centre of Munich

Pasing is a popular neighbourhood in the Western part of the city. It has its own townhall, city park and many other institutions that lend it its own distinct city character. An independent infrastructure with many shopping possibilities, health and social institutions as well as the cultural centre “Pasinger Fabrik” characterize this part of town. Due to the unusually high number of schools and other educational institutions, Pasing is also sometimes called the “Town of Schools”. In terms of transportation, Pasing is ideally situated and well connected to the city. Pasing is also considered an important Western hub of transportation for the greater Munich area. Public transportation covers a large number of different S-Bahn, tram, bus, and train routes. Various S-Bahn and railway lines stop at the Pasinger station.
An extension of the U5 to the Pasing Marienplatz is in planning.
