The issue of making retirement arrangements and organizing a pension plan is becoming increasingly pressing for more and more people. While prior generations could still count on receiving a sufficient pension from what they paid into state pension funds, these days even the State itself is calling on its citizens to be a bit more active with respect to caring for their financial situation upon retirement.
What could therefore be more obvious that to return to the means that not only our grandparents, insofar as they were independent, found to be reliable, but which also have proved trustworthy for centuries.
Orlando di Lasso, the great Munich composer, is known to have invested a large part of his money in houses in Munich. What proved its worth centuries ago, still applies even today.
The advantage today is that a lot more people can afford to live in their property. The possibility of buying single apartments has created completely new structures. Whether old (in Lehel) or new (near the Trade Fair in Riem): residential property is always a worthwhile investment both for homeowners and investors.
Today owning property no longer means owning numerous apartments exclusively for the generation of income. The figures collected by the home and landowner’s associations prove that many people nowadays simply “save” the rent for their apartment. These associations support, advise and at times represent a large number of homeowners, who own “only” a single apartment.
And something else has changed too: more and more people also live in the same four walls that they own. Through long-term financing, they contribute to the growth of their assets and later reap the earnings in form of additional income or reduced costs. Owning property is thus even day a good basis for financial security.
