The Munich builder Terrafinanz is having their fifty-year anniversary. This is a good enough reason to take a look behind the scenes of an extraordinary company.

With the slogan "We build Munich. Since 1961.“, Terrafinanz has been presenting itself for many years on the Munich real estate market. And the developer has good numbers: Founded in 1961 by Gustav Adolf Blum, the company has covered over seven million square meters of land; 12,000 apartments and approx. 1,500 homes have been built. More than 30,000 people have found a new home with Terrafinanz. Impressive numbers, behind which you will find a health, medium-sized company with over 50 employees and a branch in Hungary.

50 years of successful of activity are not a matter of course. So what distinguishes Terrafinanz in their daily activities? The former minister of state Otto Wieshau answered this question in his opening speech for the company anniversary: "Terrafinanz is a large, medium-sized family run company. Family run companies are distinguished by their orientation towards long-term goals, an early integration of the following generation into responsibility and the concentration of capital and know-how in the company. Family companies are indispensable for growth and employment in a national economy.”  

This change in generation has been successful by Terrafinanz in an exemplary manner: The founder Gustav Adolf Blum gave over the management in 1987 to his suns Axel and Jürgen Blum, who have led the company to its most successful year. The Blum company family expects about 500 sold residential units and around Munich for 2011.  

A nice success - last, but not least for the Bavarian state capitol, because in the following years, an ever-growing demand for residential space is expected. The Mayor of Munich, Christian Ude, says the following about this: “With their residential projects, like currently in Pasing, Obersendling, Schwabing or Bogenhausen, Terrafinanz provides an important contribution to the residential area supply, which is why I am very thankful for the Terrafinanz corporation."
